I am a research scientist at RTX Technology Research Center in East Hartford, Connecticut. My work at RTRC centers on metamaterials with applications in optics and other areas.

Before coming to RTRC, I was a postdoc in Amir Arbabi’s group at UMass Amherst, where I did experimental optics research. My projects at UMass mostly involved dielectric metasurfaces, a new-ish approach to diffractive optics. During my PhD (and before) I worked on projects to interface optical cavities and waveguides with trapped ions or ultracold neutral atoms (cavity QED and waveguide QED).

Outside of research, I am interested in making the perfect cup of coffee, enjoy trivia games and playing guitar, and enthusiastically start programming projects I am unlikely to finish.

Opinions here are my own and do not represent those of my employer.
